The '98 Tacoma w/ Xtra Cab can absolutely utilize the Yakima Q-Tower system. The following components would be the best recommendation use the full capabilities of the Q-Tower system.
Q-Towers (Gen 2) - 8000124
Q-Stretch Kit (Gen 2) - 8000134
Two sets of Q16 Clips w/ "A" Pads - 8000616
48" RoundBars - 8000408
Locks/Keys (optional)
The stretch kit is, technically, going to be optional; though, you lose a lot of bar-spread if you do not use them which will not allow use of many accessories in both Yakima's and other retailers' lines. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us, directly!
