Thank you for reaching out to us the Yakima EasyTops are great around town hauling options however our standard line is that the EasyTop can work for boats if you are hauling them around town but cannot endorse the EasyTop for highway use since they are only strapped to the top of your car. The EasyTop can carry up to 70lbs these soft racks cannot replace an actual base rack system.
